Sky Weather Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Sky Weather ("the app") is published by Hamidi Apps. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and who it is shared with. The app has no user accounts and we do not run any server that stores your data.

Location

If you allow it, the app reads your device's location (precise or approximate, whichever you grant) to show the weather where you are. The coordinates are sent to:

Location is only used while the app or its home-screen widget is updating. It is never used in the background for any other purpose, and it is not used for advertising by us. You can turn location off at any time in your phone's settings and add places by searching instead.

Place search

When you search for a place, the text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find matching places.

Stored on your phone

Your saved places, chosen theme, colours, units and a short-lived copy of recent forecasts are stored only on your device. They are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Advertising

The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address and information about ad interactions to show and measure ads, and, with your consent, to personalise them. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time under Appearance → Privacy & ad choices in the app. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Read how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
